Transportation to and from Turrialba
The conference organizers provided direct buses from the airport all the way to Turrialba. Timetables and pickup points are described on the pickup shuttle page and the drop off shuttle page.
If none of the direct transportation options work for you, local transportation between cities in Costa Rica can be done by bus or car only. Take a taxi at the airport and ask the driver to take you to the Turrialba bus stop in San Jose. At the station, go to the ticket counter and buy a ticket to Turrialba, preferably on a direct bus, as it takes less time.
The bus to Turrialba operates every day from San Jose from 5am to 9pm, and from Turrialba to San Jose from 5am to 10pm. The trip is about 65 kilometers long and takes about one and a half hours. Once in Turrialba, you can take a taxi to your hotel or to the conference. For the venue, ask the driver to take you to the Campus of the University of Costa Rica.
